Well, I guess the weatherman is bound to be right once in a while. I thought they were just trying to boost their ratings when they called for 10-20 inches of snow. I didn’t use a ruler, but we definitely had more than a foot of snow today.
I feel like I have been on a series of missions since last week. I had several Christmas/clown events coming up and I needed to get ready.
Well, it happened. It snowed today and I don’t mean just a few flurries. We got two or three inches of snow. When I went out to shovel around 4:00, it was a very, very wet and heavy snow. I don’t think it could have been any closer to being water. I think the temperature outside began around 40F and dropped as the day went on, but I am not sure it ever got below freezing at the surface. Actually, I don’t think we have had too many nights that got below freezing.
I went out for a quick trip to the store this evening.
My first stop was at BJ’s Wholesale Club. When I was going in the store, I noticed an area in front of the store that was roped off. It looked like they were planning for a long line of people. Somewhat unusual for BJ’s… It didn’t take me long to find out what it was all about. It seems that Sarah Palin will be stopping there to sign her new book, Going Rogue. I think that BJ’s is probably the last place I would expect for a book signing. They had hundreds of copies of her book in several places around the store. They also had transformed one aisle into a fancy book signing area. I am guessing they are expecting people to take pictures. After leaving the store, I noticed there were people camped out in the parking lot already.
I like bright lights, or I like well lit rooms. I don’t know why, but I like it better when it is bright in the room. I watch TV with the lights on, I work at the computer with the lights on, but I sleep with the lights off. I can usually tell when one of the bulbs has burned out because the room doesn’t feel as bright.
