Last summer, at Moose Camp, one of the instructors said it was important to be organized and have a formal place for all of your clown props and costume pieces. Take the time to clean up everything after a gig and put things back where they belong.

This past weekend, I attended my first clown convention, Circus Magic, in Williamsburg, VA. I had heard good things about their convention, but I really went because it was close to home. I registered for Circus Magic in December and signed up for the pre-conference face painting workshop by Gary Cole from SNAZAROO USA.

I had a busy weekend. Last year, I purchased tickets to see Avenue Q at the Warner Theatre on Saturday. Last week, I learned about a circus themed event at the Strathmore on Sunday. I would have liked to have had a little more free time, but both days were fun and tomorrow is a Federal Holiday for President’s Day.

After several cold days, it was nice having the temperature reach 60F yesterday. The forecast is calling for another day in the 60s today. I hope to have some time to practice my unicycle.

My beginner unicycle lessons started up again last night. My last lesson had been the beginning of December and with the winter cold weather and my busy schedule, that was really the last time I had riden my unicycle. I had it out for about 20 minutes on Sunday since the weather was nice, but I was tired and busy with cooking a pot of chili so I didn’t ride long.
